Summer Reading is fast approaching, and programs are all lined up. I anticipate we will have great fun with them. We plan on having programs here at the library but, if we need to, can move them to the school gym. We have the Blank Park Zoo, magician Mikayla Oz, Butterfly Tents, Calkins Nature Area, and Foam Cannons scheduled to present, and we will have an Escape Room and STEM one week to round out the programming. For those patrons who sign up and complete their goal there is a party planned back on the patio weather permitting. Ages are preschool-junior high. This year’s theme is “Read Beyond the Beaten Path” and dates are June 13th – July 23rd. I am working on grants and donation letters to help pay for these programs, the snacks for after the

programs and the ending party plus prizes for winning readers.

Weeding has been done and we have many books in all areas that need new

homes. Please stop in and browse and then make a donation to the library for

what you take home for your own library.

We still have some “Steamboat Rock” T-shirts from the Visionary Group for sale

here at the library. The cost is $20 per shirt and there are various sizes.

Remember we are a non-profit organization so any donation you give can be

used as a tax write-off. Thanks to all for your assistance in any way.
